A volcano

A girl and a boy who weren’t supposed to meet…

I met a girl I wasn’t supposed to meet,
Calm as an ocean with cheerful greets,
A hint of intelligence with a touch so shy,
Intrigued, I started talking to her in my free time,
Never was I more amazed to realize,
How deep was her well of memories, how many layers in disguise,
Maybe she is a volcano hibernating, waiting for the right time

I met a boy I wasn’t supposed to meet,
Difficult to approach and hard to read,
A hint of sweetness with a touch so kind,
Intrigued, I started talking to him in my free time,
Never was I more amazed to realize,
How much he kept within, how much he had, to make him feel dry.
Maybe he is a volcano hibernating, waiting for the right time

Different people yet same hidden interior. Found common qualities beneath their stark differences.
