To See You

To see you, I choose to stay awake
Through the mirror, I still see you
I am becoming afraid to see you
Oh boy! I am looking forward to see you
To tell you all about them, I have to see you
Wishing to see you, is it okay if we meet?
Will I see you… after today?

Walking towards me,
Slowly melting me away,
Touching ever so slightly,
Whispering wishes, delightfully,
To see you, I choose to stay awake.
***
Showing me new possibilities,
Making me wish for my summer dreams,
Images of happiness flashing by,
Afraid to touch, what if they fly?
Through the mirror, I still see you.
***
Closer and closer, walking towards,
Side by side, our hands brush,
My heart skips a beat, but
I look away.. in fear,
I am becoming afraid to see you.
***
So casually and quickly, unnoticed, you are now near,
Harder to resist these reckless desires I now hold dear,
Finding myself dreaming, choosing excuses to meet,
New found wait and new found priorities,
Oh boy! I am looking forward to see you.
***
Things are slowly going out of my reach,
Before I know it, the security breached,
Don’t know if carefree carelessness will return,
Reminds me of old heartaches, those scars are burning red again,
To tell you all about them, I have to see you.
***
Remembering promises, I shy away,
Old stories are being recited today,
The past is here to haunt my dreams,
Recurring nightmares and broken sleeps,
Wishing to see you, is it okay if we meet?
***
For once, I can’t end my own story,
Wishing someone will complete this task for me,
Perhaps I just want the time to stay,
Tell me, oh tell me.. will you stay? or will I watch you go away?
Will I see you… after today?

Watching present mix with my past, future seems reachable but so far away at the same time.
